My name is Caitlin but you can call me Cait.  I’m a pretty simple girl who really loves creating awesome design.  Before I get started I'm just going to warn you that I don't feel like this bio does me any justice as to how funny I really am or how incredibly dedicated I am to my clients or my family + friends. So please be aware of that missing element.

Design has always been instilled in me. I remember as a kid obsessing over old Victorian's left to rot and forgotten by their previous owners. I couldn't fathom how these dwellings could be just up and abandoned with such character and stateliness - but what made my mind run even further with imagination was what I could do to these homes to save them or make them beautiful again. Pretty optimistic for a small town farm kid whose dad was not in the business of buying fixer upper's for renovation and resale. (Um - why were my parents not Chip + Joanna Gaines!?) But I knew this is where my love of design began to blossom. I still possess my obsess-ant love of old homes. To this day when I drive up to a new client residence and see a Heritage Heiress standing before me - I die. (To quote the deep Rachel Zoe)

As I started getting older and more social I loved going over to new friends homes. I would love seeing the styles of their homes and what their parents decorated like. (You can judge me - that is kind of weird) I'll never forget my bestie Bailey's house back in Brigden (mhmm...look that little hole in the wall up). It was awesome! There was a fireplace with flanking built-in bookshelves on either side from wall to wall on one either and the most divine staircase up to her second floor where every room was perfectly nestled into it's only little corner. Her parents have since done some renovations but these elements have remained - just with a more modern twist. It'll always hold a soft spot in my heart.

When I started going to school for design I just saturated myself with as much knowledge as I could. I started working at local businesses like Benjamin Moore so I'd master my colour perception and understanding. (You'd be surprised at what makes your white paint whiter) I worked with a furniture store to ensure I understood ordering procedure and facilitation from start to finish. I also utilized this role to study product lines and brands that I was not yet familiar with. The list continues until I finally landed my first Design Assistant gig. It was with one of the most reputable designers in London and I'd dreamed of working for her since I'd moved to London. That was a battle and not an easily fought one but I look back at that time with admiration now as I could never have learned all of the info I did from anywhere else. Fast forward 3 years with another design firm and stop here at Visione Bianco - Interior Design + Decor. I've finally created what I've been longing for since I was a kid.

My logic is simple: Dream it. Design it. Live it.
