Looking back can almost be the key to moving forward with a successful design element. For instance - metallic tones and metals have been trending now for a hot minute and will be continuing their adornment through this season into the new year. (It's insane that the New Year is a thing to say already - wha?) Much to my pleasure we will be seeing a lot more shine brought to the table through these vast assortment of decor items. Take a look at my list below to ensure you grab some of the hottest metallic items for this season. (And well really...any other season!)
1. This warm gold geometric wreath is a smart way of dressing up your front door without too much excess. Go and pick one of these babies up from your local Canadian Tire for $34.99.
(In stock now!)
2. Lighting! Typically to be found in pendant style fixtures - these smaller scaled units pack a huge punch. Copper is particularly hot right now and personally I think is a more transitional finish then some of the other gold's or brass pieces - just sayin'.
3. Looking for a more dramatic design feature - try inserting a metal tone as your grout colour. The end result is a-mazing. See image below featuring a gold grout line - still picking up my jaw.
4. Another sleek way to introduce a metallic finish into your decor scheme is with fixtures or faucets. Companies are launching beautiful new designs accompanied with finishes we've learned to hate over the last number of years in a fresh and innovative way. Brizo faucets just held a product launch last week - see image below for insight into new collections. (Shown: Litze)
5. And dare I say it - yes, Christmas decor! Metallic's in coppers, rose golds and brass are showing up and I am so excited to decorate this year. If you haven't already seen decorative items showing up in your local stores - you will soon! Be sure to check out the fresh stock.
6. Lastly - furniture and accent pieces are always a great option if you can work them into your scheme. Side tables and furniture bases are a perfect way to introduce a metallic option without overwhelming the rest of the decor.
