First year away from home and looking to make your current living situation reminiscent of those cozy vibes back in your old neck of the woods? I get it. There's nothing more

exciting then embarking on that next chapter and doing things solo - but let's be real - the comforts of home never get old.
Here's a few ways to simplify your everyday life in your dorm, apartment or whatever your current space may be. It's important you are comfortable, organized and can feel at home...this will generally be the place you are creating all of your brilliant scholastic masterpieces don't forget.
Binder Clips: Use large binder clips on your desk top edge to secure cords and adapters from being scattered and tangled on your floor. (Not to mention - no cobb webs...blah!) If you have a few of the same - make a label.
Frebeeze Clips: Always put a few Frebeeze clips on your venting. It'll ensure your room is smelling fresh even when your potentially to busy to shower.
Keep Clean: It's important to keep your living space clean and organized. Students typically move multiple times in their College years allowing them to purge more frequently which helps when it comes to organizing and space planning a new layout.
Using Real Glassware: Let's be honest - adulting can be much easier and convenient with a paper plate. Using real glassware and cutlery will help enhance that homey vibe we're trying to convey.
Try Texture: Pick a theme you'd be happy committing to. Begin to layer with carpets, window treatments, and obvi - throw pillows. They are the definition of comfy cozy. It's these elements that really help fabricate an authentic curated look - you're friends won't want to leave.
Always Flowers: You can find inexpensive greenery at the grocery store to help give your space a little life. And hey - even if you don't have a green thumb that's okay - cactus and succulent plants are low maintenance plants. So even if you forget about them for the whole Christmas break - they'll still be rocking when you get back!
